About Isaacson Consulting
Connie Isaacson, CFRE is the President and owner of Isaacson Consulting, LLC. Connie is a well-known, respected professional with nearly 20 years of broad-based community leadership at the local, state and national level. She has experience in philanthropy, fund development, health care management, education and training, community needs assessment and community engagement. Connie has provided fund development and community relations leadership to three major nonprofit organizations in Iowa – in health care, arts and social services. Collectively, she has guided staff and volunteers in raising more than $43 million.
Connie is passionate about helping others and improving peoples’ lives through philanthropic support and volunteer service. She began her professional career as a Registered Nurse and after serving on numerous community Boards and as president of the Junior League of Des Moines, she moved into community relations, community engagement and fund development. She is a graduate of the University of Indiana Center on Philanthropy’s Fundraising School and has met the extensive requirements to become a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).
ACCOLADES AND AFFILIATIONS
- As the director of development at Blank Children’s Hospital, Connie created the hospital’s development program from “ground up.” Under her leadership the annual fund tripled and the hospital completed its first ever successful capital campaign raising more than $15 million.
- As the director of development at the Des Moines Art Center, Connie led volunteers and staff in raising more than $17 million for the endowment campaign.
- Connie also spent five years as the vice president of external affairs at Planned Parenthood of Greater Iowa where she provided staff leadership to a successful $11 million campaign.
- Connie received the Junior League of Des Moines Community Service Award.
- Connie is a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
- Connie has served on more than 15 community boards in support of arts and culture, health care and social services.
- Connie was elected to and served on the Urbandale Community Schools Board of Directors.
